Tool Sharing
GRU's tool share program offers community groups and organizations the tools and machinery needed to complete projects they have undertaken. We offer anything from hand tools to cement mixers and other large pieces of machinery. Many infrastructure projects have been hindered by the lack of these resources after the earthquake.

The Tool Bus

Using the bus for local transportation of tools and volunteers will help mobilize our tool share program providing both tools and labor to help partner groups complete their projects. A tool drive has taken place thanks to the enthusiasm of the local community in Asherville, North Carolina. The result of a collaboration between GRU, Burners Without Borders, the donated bus is full of tools thanks to the help of the Flood Gallery, and the Phil Mechanic Studio. These fantastic partner groups have made all of the Tool Bus Project possible. The Tool Bus will run on Biodiesel manufactured at the GRU base.
